Rafting Creek Elementary School has been named the second place winner of the U.S. Matific Math Games, a free online math competition aimed at improving American students’ confidence and math skills in the classroom. The school received $3,000 at an awards celebration. Congratulations to Tyler Edwards, a 4th grade student, for placing 6th in the nation. Class level awards went to Mrs. Loretta White’s first grade class for placing fifth in the nation, Mrs. Loretta Bernhardt’s second grade class for placing 10th in the nation, Ms. Bridget Bradley’s third grade class for placing 9th in the nation, Mrs. Shemica Collier’s 4th grade class for placing second in the nation, and Mrs. Angela Burley’s fifth grade class for placing 6th in the nation.
