Mrs. Ureka Hilton is a graduate of Morris College, where she received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education. Later, she received a Master’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Cambridge College. In 2012, she continued her studies by completing the Educational Leadership and Policies Program at the University of South Carolina.
She is married with three wonderful children and two rambunctious grandchildren. She has 17 years of teaching experience and belongs to a variety of professional organizations, including the International Reading Association, the South Carolina Council of the International Reading Association, the Palmetto State Teachers Association, and the National Parent Teacher Association.
She is a caring, compassionate teacher who believes that teaching provides an opportunity for continual learning and growth. One of her hopes as an educator is to instill a love of learning in her students, as she shares her own passion for learning with them.
